UP Board Exams 2025 for Classes 10 and 12 are currently underway under strict monitoring. Kolkata: A serious lapse occurred during the ongoing UP Board Class 12 exams, where six to seven students were handed incorrect question papers. Despite bringing this to the attention of the invigilators, their concerns were reportedly dismissed.

One of the affected students, Shalu Kumari, shared her distressing experience, stating, "When we informed the teacher that the paper was incorrect, we were told, 'You must attempt it. This is from the board.' We had no choice but to complete the exam."

After finishing the test, the students were instructed to leave without any further resolution. Their attempts to contact the school principal were unsuccessful, leading to growing frustration among students and parents.

Authorities Take Action

In response to the complaints, District Inspector of Schools Rajkumar Srivastava confirmed that the error took place during the second shift of the exam. He assured that immediate action had been taken. "After reviewing the situation, we have removed the center administrator and the second administrator from their duties. A report has been submitted to the UP Board, and further decisions, including the possibility of a re-exam, are pending."

Despite the controversy, the UP Board Exams 2025 continue as planned, with over 54.37 lakh students appearing across 8,140 centers. The exams, which began on February 24, 2025, will conclude on March 12, 2025.

Massive Scale of UP Board Exams 2025

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has organized these exams in two shifts to accommodate the vast number of students:

  • Morning Shift: 8:30 AM - 11:45 AM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM - 5:15 PM

A total of 27.32 lakh students are appearing for the Class 10 exams, while 27.05 lakh students are sitting for Class 12. The large-scale participation has posed logistical challenges, requiring strict supervision to prevent errors.

Investigation and Student Concerns

As the Hindi paper mix-up is investigated, students and parents await further updates from the UP Board. Many are demanding a re-exam to ensure fairness. This incident highlights the need for stricter monitoring to prevent such errors, particularly in high-stakes board exams. As the exams continue, authorities must work diligently to avoid further disruptions and uphold the integrity of the examination process.
