Kolkata: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will announce the RRB ALP result 2024 for CBT 1 on their official website, rrbapply.gov.in. Candidates who took the first stage of the computer-based test (CEN 01/2024) will soon be able to check their results, cut-off marks, and scorecards on the respective RRB portal. RRB will prepare the results using a normalization process to determine eligibility for the CBT 2 exam.

The RRB ALP CBT 1 exam was held from November 25 to 29, 2024, with the provisional answer key released on December 5, 2024. Candidates could raise objections until December 10. The recruitment process includes five stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, computer-based aptitude test (CBAT), document verification (DV), and medical examination (ME). Both CBT 1 and CBT 2 have a 1/3rd negative marking policy, while CBAT has no negative marking. This recruitment drive aims to fill 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies, up from the initially advertised 5,696, following additional demands from zonal railways.

The RRB will soon release the category-wise cutoff list for the ALP exam. Meanwhile, candidates can gauge their potential scores by checking the expected cutoff. The estimated category-wise cutoff is given below:

Candidates who will clear the CBT 1 exam for the RRB ALP position will move on to the CBT 2 stage. The CBT 2 stage consists of two parts. Part A lasts 90 minutes and includes 100 multiple-choice questions covering subjects such as mathematics, general intelligence and reasoning, basic science and engineering, general awareness, and current affairs. Part B, on the other hand, is 60 minutes long with 75 multiple-choice questions focused on the candidate's specific trade qualifications and choices. It is important to note that candidates must score at least 35% in Part B to qualify. The selection process for the ALP role includes five stages: the two computer-based tests, a computer-based aptitude test, followed by document verification, and a medical examination.
