Maharashtra's 'Atal' initiative recorded registration of over one lakh students. This is the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell initiated special programme to help students with mock tests and psychometric assessments for the preparation of competitive entrance exams.
Kolkata: Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) initiated 'Atal' programme saw registration of over one lakh students. The initiative was launched to help aspirants prepare for competitive entrance exams through mock tests and psychometric assessments. Mr. Chandrakant Patil, honourable minister of Higher and Technical Education of Maharashtra shared this update on Thursday. He also urged more students to take this opportunity and register themselves with the scheme.
Patil asserted that the ATAL mock tests and psychometric assessments will simplify the preparation process which is expected to reduce exam-related stress while boosting students' confidence. He stated that the programme is particularly targeted to benefit the students from remote areas, by providing the structured preparation model for state-level entrance exams conducted by the CET Cell.
The CET-ATAL mock tests will simulate the actual examination environment in order to help students familiarise with the format and questions patterns of competitive entrance exams. These ATAL mock tests also incorporate the psychometric tests that are designed to evaluate individual strengths, interests, and aptitudes, providing the much-needed valuable insights guiding them in selecting suitable career paths.
The enrolment target of over five lakh students under this scheme is set by the state government. The colleges across Maharashtra are participating and promoting the scheme to make sure maximum student participation. The initiative also aims to provide students all the entrance exams related updates such as registration dates, exam schedules, and any other essential information.
Patil encouraged students to make the most of this state higher education department initiative to fine-tune their preparedness for competitive exams and secure better academic prospects. He added, "This programme is not just about exam preparation; it is a career guidance tool that helps students identify suitable academic paths based on their aptitude and interests".
