Kolkata: A total of 8,089 students from Udupi district and 22,525 from Dakshina Kannada have registered for CET 2025 Test for professional courses, including engineering, with exams scheduled for April 15th, 16th, and 17th. April 15th will see a Kannada language test conducted at selected centers for students from border and non-Kannada regions, while the core subject examinations are set for April 16th and 17th.

Presiding over a preparatory meeting at Rajatadri, Deputy Commissioner Vidya Kumari K instructed officials to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the exams, emphasizing coordinated efforts and strict protocol adherence to prevent any errors. To ensure the smooth conduct of the examination, authorities have implemented prohibitory orders around the exam centers, and webcasting will be in place at select locations for monitoring. Furthermore, both district administrations have instructed MESCOM officials to guarantee an uninterrupted power supply throughout the exam period to prevent any disruptions.

What are the Regulations and Arrangements are Done for Karnataka CET 2025?

The following points outline the regulations and arrangements established for the upcoming Karnataka CET 2025:

  • Secure Storage and Distribution: CET question papers will be kept safely at the district treasury, under police guard and CCTV surveillance. Teams of tahsildars, education officers, and principals will handle the timely delivery of these papers to the exam centers with security escorts.
  • Prohibited Items: Students are not allowed to bring any electronic devices into the examination halls, including smartwatches and mobile phones.
  • Jewelry Restriction: Wearing any form of jewelry is also prohibited for students inside the exam centers.
  • Arrival and Identification: Candidates must arrive at their designated centers well before the examination starts. They must carry their hall ticket along with a valid photo ID (e.g., college ID, bus pass, driving license, passport, Aadhaar card, PAN card, or other approved documents).
  • Staff Attendance: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) has warned that staff assigned to examination duties must be present and cannot be absent.
  • Supervision: Each examination center will have assigned observers and room supervisors overseeing the proceedings.
  • Monitoring: All examination halls will be equipped with CCTV cameras and working wall clocks.
  • Restricted Zone: A 200-meter area surrounding each examination center will be declared a restricted zone to ensure a secure and smooth process.
  • Security Arrangements: The police department has been directed to provide sufficient security personnel at all examination centers.
  • Medical Assistance: The health department will have medical assistants present at each examination center.
  • Drinking Water: Arrangements for drinking water will be made available at all centers due to the summer heat.
