Kolkata: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) successfully completed placements for its PGP and PGPBA Class of 2023-25. All 595 students secured jobs from 176 companies, receiving over 650 offers.

Management consulting was the most popular choice, making up 41% of the offers. Other preferred fields were technology/product management and investment banking. Students also found opportunities in sectors like FMCG, retail, e-commerce, fintech, healthcare, and manufacturing, with roles in strategy, finance, marketing, operations, and analytics.
The placement team shared that this year saw strong participation from both regular and new recruiters, with about 30% being first-time recruiters. Additionally, over 100 lateral placement offers (for students with more than 18 months of work experience) were made, the highest among top B-schools in India.

Professor Nishant Verma, Chairperson of Career Development Services at IIM Bangalore, shared that despite a tough global job market, the placement process at IIM Bangalore was highly successful. Professor Nishant Verma said, This year, we set a new record in terms of the number of jobs offers and the variety of roles across different sectors. This success reflects the strong partnership between the institute and the industry, benefiting everyone involved.
Tapas Ranjan Pati, Head of Career Development Services, said that the placement team and the Student Placement Committee worked very hard and achieved a record number of job offers during the placement week. He mentioned, "Top global companies praised the students' performance and the smooth placement process."
