Despite Holi overlaps, CBSE has confirmed Class XII Hindi exams: Core and Elective, will proceed on March 15, 2025. Students facing difficulties can opt for a later exam date.
Kolkata: CBSE will conduct a special examination for Class 12th board exam students who will be unable to take their March 15, 2025 exams due to extended Holi celebrations in certain regions. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj informed PTI that while Holi is primarily celebrated on March 14, some regions may celebrate or extend festivities to March 15. To ensure fairness, CBSE is offering an alternative exam date. Bhardwaj clarified that these students will be offered an opportunity to appear for a special examination, similar to the one provided for students participating in national or international sports events.

The notice explained that students facing difficulties attending on March 15 can choose not to appear. These students will be given an opportunity to take the exam later, alongside those participating in national or international sports events, for whom a special examination is already conducted. CBSE will soon give students instructions about the alter day of examination.
