BITSDES offers 180 seats in its B Des (Hons) program, covering five focus areas: Physical Product Design, Digital Product Design (UX/UI), Design Research and Insights, Experience Design, and Visual Design. What is the Application Process for BITS Design School B.Des (Hons) 2025?

Admissions to the program rely on scores from one of three tests: NID DAT Prelims, UCEED, or the BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT). Applicants using NID DAT Prelim or UCEED scores must submit their BITSDES application by January 31, 2025. The application process requires entering the registration or roll number for these exams. For convenience, the portal will reopen from April 5 to April 8, 2025, allowing applicants to upload their scores. Alternatively, students can opt to take the BITSDAT, a 60-minute test featuring multiple-choice questions on general aptitude and design concepts, held between March 31 and April 5, 2025. The shortlist of candidates, based on test scores, will be published on April 14, 2025. Shortlisted applicants will then upload their portfolios, followed by online interviews scheduled from May 2 to May 12, 2025.

Ans: IIITDM Jabalpur accepts applications for its B.Des. program only from students who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology at the 10+2 level. Unfortunately, students with a Commerce, Arts, or Humanities background at 10+2 are not eligible to apply for admission.
