B.Arch: Course entrance exam

NATA or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture is a national level exam to take admission in the B.Arch course at any college. This entrance test is conducted by the COA or the Council of Architecture. After passing the test with qualifying marks, candidates can get admission to 5 - years of Bachelor of Architecture in the country. NATA is conducted twice, first in April and the second exam in June. Several government and private colleges consider NATA scores mandatory to take admission on B.Arch.

 

The AAT or The Architecture Aptitude Test is also a national level entrance exam for the admission of B.Arch in recognized IITs. Candidates who already have the scores of JEE Advance can take this test and it’s only offered at IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur. 

 

JEE Main is the joint entrance exam and is also a national level test which includes paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates who want to pursue B.Arch, need to have qualifying marks in paper two.
