Humanities and Social Science: Course entrance exam

Admission to the Humanities & Social Sciences degree might differ from institute to institute. There are few institutes that provides admission based on the 10 + 2 board exam percentage. These are few entrance exams conducted for the candidates who wish to study Humanities & Social Science in India :

• Humanities & Social Sciences Entrance Examination (HSEE) : This is a national - level entrance exam administered by IIT Madras for programs such as Integrated MA in Development Studies and English Studies.

• Tata Institute of Social Sciences Bachelors Admission Test (TISS - BAT) : This is an online entrance exam conducted every year in the month of August. The programmes offered through this entrance exam are BA in Social Work and BA in Social Science. 

• Delhi University Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) : This entrance exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), every year. This exam is conducted to provide admission to the BA in Business Economics, BA in Humanities & Social Science, BA in Mass and Media Communications and BA in Music. A Total of 100 MCQs are asked based on verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and general awareness.

• Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) : This entrance exam is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University for candidates who wish to pursue a BA, or MA in Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology and Geography.
