B.Tech Biotechnology with specialization in Food Technology is a four - year Undergraduate program with 8 semesters that focuses on the various systems of Food engineering used in the food industry to enhance shelf life of the edible products, other than that, it focuses on preservation techniques, and Food processing. 

 

The basic eligibility for this course is class 12 degree in Physics and Mathematics with one optional subject that can be Biotechnology/ Biology or Chemistry. Students must have a minimum 60% marks from a recognized board. Admission to this course is based on entrance exams like Amity JEE, WBJEE, DUET etc. 

 

The average course fee can be from INR 40,000 to INR 1.5 Lakhs and The average salary can be from INR 2 lakh to 3.5 lakh per annum. After completing this course, Graduates can also study MBA, M.Tech Dairy Technology, M.Tech Dairy Technology etc.
