The Institute of Science & Technology (IST), Paschim Medinipur provides admission to various courses, such as Computer science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Applied Science, and Mathematics. 

They also provide admission to the Doctoral programmes in various disciplines. Admission to these courses is offered based on various entrance exams, such as JEXPO, WBJEE, JEE Main, MAKAUT CET, WB PGET, JEMAT and JECA exams. 

Interested candidates, must have to complete the online application process by submitting all the required documents, and have to appear for the entrance exams.

• JEXPO : It is a state - level entrance exam conducted by WBSCTE, through which candidates are admitted to Diploma courses offered in the state of West Bengal. 
   
• WBJEE : WBJEE is a state - level entrance examination held in West Bengal and conducted by WBJEEB. This entrance exam is the gateway for the candidates who want admission into the B.Tech and B.Pharma courses.
   
• MAKAUT CET : MAKAUT CET is an All - India level entrance exam conducted for admission to the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology and its affiliated colleges. 
   
• WB PGET : Through this entrance exam score, Candidates are offered admission to the PG courses in Engineering & Technology.
