For Admission to the B.Tech Program at IMPS College of Engineering & Technology, Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. 

Candidates must meet these common Eligibility criteria mentioned below for the B.Tech admission to this Institute.

Eligibility Criteria for 1st Year

Candidates should have completed the HS (10 +2). They must complete their Higher Secondary Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council / Board in regular class mode with :

• They should have secured individual passing marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.
   
• Must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the above-mentioned subjects taken together (40% marks for SC/ST/PwD/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates)  as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% marks in the said Qualifying Examination.
   
• 90% of seats will be filled up from the WBJEE and 10% from AIEEE respectively. 

Eligibility Criteria for 2nd Year Lateral Entry (Diploma Holders)

• Candidates who have completed Diploma degree from an AICTE - approved institute with minimum of 45% marks (40% marks in the case of SC/ST/PH candidates) are eligible for admission to this institute through the JELET Examination.
   
• Candidates completed the B.Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/PH candidates) and completed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.
