IIST Thiruvananthapuram : Admission Process 2024 Courses, Fees, Exams,Cutoff, Placements

IIST Thiruvananthapuram or Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram is a soon to be university under the UGC Act, 1956 from Section 3. The college was established in 2007 and it was built to function as a private Engineering institute under the Department of Space, Government of India. 

IIST Trivandrum has the 43^rd position in the Engineering college category in 2022 by NIRF. The college offers Post - doctoral, Doctoral, Graduate and Undergraduate levels with various specializations such as Space Applications, Space Technology and Space Sciences. 

Admission to this institution is possible through JEST/ GATE/ CSIR NET/ JEE Advanced/ UGC NET ranks. Also, The placement department collaborates with management organizations, R&D organizations and other industries, with the aim to provide better training, Campus Placements, Internship/ Project and Career - Guidance. IIST Trivandrum offers an internship for M.Tech and B.Tech and the program period is for two months, usually from May to July each year.
