Established in 1997, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai (REC Chennai) is an Autonomous Technical university, affiliated with Anna University. The courses of this institute are approved by the AICTE and Accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC. This institute has received accreditation for Undergraduate Engineering programs from the NBA. In the NIRF Ranking of 2023, REC Chennai has secured 86th position in the category of Engineering.
 

REC Chennai offers UG, PG and Doctoral courses in various fields, including Management, Biotechnology, Engineering and science. B.Tech is the flagship program offered by this institute. For admission to the B.Tech course, Candidates must have a Higher Secondary Certificate degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Admission to B.Tech course at this institute is done through TNEA Counselling.
