IIT ISM Dhanbad [IITISM] Admission 2024:Dates,Eligibility, Application Process and Selection Criteria

The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian school of Mines) Dhanbad , mostly known as IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. There are several courses and it have their own process of taking admission .

Here are the list given below :

B.Tech , M.Tech , M.sc ,MBA ,Ph.D.

Now these courses requires some important exams to be clear to take admission such as :

I. B.Tech (Undergraduate programs) :

• Entrance Exam : Admission takes place after giving JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advance.

• Eligibility : Candidates must be completed 10 + 2 , then clear the JEE main for JEE Advance.

• Counselling : After clearing JEE Advance candidates are qualify for (JoSAA) Joint Seat Allocation Authority, they can participate in this and secure the seat in IIT (ISM) Dhanbad after counselling .

• Document : If you are allocated a seat, then you can go for document verification process and then fee payment.

II. M.Tech (Postgraduate programs) :

• Qualify GATE : Ensure that you have valid GATE score.

• Apply Through COAP : Register on the common offer acceptance portal (Coap) and the IIT Dhanbad M.Tech admission portal.

• Counselling : Centralized counselling to be done for M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Plan (ccmt) is conducted for admission.

• Admission process : After seat allotment , follow the instructions given for document verifications and fee payment.

III. For M.Sc Programs :

• Qualify JAM : Ensure that you have qualified the Joint Admission Test for M.sc (JAM).

• Register for JAM counselling : Register and participate in the JAM counselling process.

• Fill Application Form : Complete the Application form on the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad portal.

• Seat Allotment and Admission : Follow the counselling process for Seat Allotment and complete the admission process by submitting and verifications of document and fee payment.

IV. MBA Programs : 

• Entrance : Apply for (CAT) Common Admission Test and qualify it.

• Apply online : Fill out the form online through the official website www.iitism.ac.in.

• Shortlisted and Selection : Shortlisted candidates called for the Group Discussion (GD) , Personal Interview and Written Ability Test.

• Admission : Based on the performance in CAT,GD ,PI and WAT, then final admission process done . Complete the document verification and fee payment.

V. Ph.d Programs :

• Entrance Exam : Admission is based on a appropriate score of GATE / NET or an equivalent National level Test.

• Eligibility : Candidates should qualified Master’s from Relevant university.

• Selection process : May include a written test  and / or interview conducted by the institute.

• Document verification : After completing all test and interview then you are eligible for the admission so you have to go for document verification and fee payment process.

GATE (M.Tech)

• Score Card Availability : June 1,2024 - December 31, 2024

• COAP Counselling : May 15 , 2024 – July 15 , 2024

• Reporting at IIT Dhanbad : July 23, 2024

IIT JAM (M.Sc)

Fourth Admission List Fee Payment (Last date) : July 8 , 2024

Ph.D Admissions 

•  Physical Admission and Joining : July 15 , 2024.
