SNU Merit Scholarship
The merit scholarship of SNU is based on 10+2 marks for UG students and 10+2+3 marks for PG students. Details about this Sister Nivedita University scholarship and marks are given below:

SNU Talent Scholarship
SNU students with talent in sports, performing arts or visual arts can apply for this scholarship. This scholarship has 2 categories: Sports and Performing Arts.
Sports Category

Chancellor Merit cum Means Scholarship
The merit cum means scholarship is awarded by the Hon’ble Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University. Students are awarded a 50% to 100% fee waiver depending on the merit and need. For applications, students need to submit a family income from any Government Gazetted Officer, or Executive Officer. Also, every applicant must maintain good scores throughout the semesters.
SNU Scholarship Scheme for Alumni
Students who got their previous qualifications from institutes under Techno India Group will get a 15% scholarship.

Scholarship Scheme by Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region
Under this scheme, students can apply for the NEC Merit Scholarship. Details of the NEC Merit Scholarship are given below.
- NEC Merit Scholarship
NEC Merit Scholarship offers financial aid to permanent residents of the Northeastern Region (NER) studying anywhere in India. To be eligible, students must have an annual income of less than 8 lakhs. This scholarship is given to students pursuing a Diploma, UG, or Postgraduate courses, or registered for M.Phil./PhD programs.
Scholarship Scheme by the Ministry of Railways
It was introduced in 2005, to promote higher education among the children of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel and widows (below the rank of Gazetted officer). For each academic session, 150 students are awarded, and 50% are reserved for women. Students studying BE, B.Tech, BDS, MBBS, B.Ed, BBA, BCA, MCA, and B. Pharma, MBA, and MCA can only apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development
This scheme provides scholarships for college and university students. The details of the scholarship are given below:
- Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students
Under this scheme, 82,000 scholarships are awarded annually to meritorious students from low-income families. Students studying regular graduate, postgraduate, and professional degree programs can apply. For application, students must be between 18 and 25 years of age. Also, they should achieve above 80 percent marks in their Class 12.
Scholarship Scheme by Ministry of Tribal Affairs
This scholarship is to support education for ST students. It is distributed through two components: Fellowship and Scholarship. The Fellowship helps ST students pursuing PhD or M.Phil., and the scholarship helps graduate or postgraduate students.
Scholarship Scheme by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
This scheme is for SC students. It provides 4,200 scholarships, and 30% of them are reserved for girls. Students with an annual family income of up to INR 8 lakhs are eligible. Eligibility also depends on the general selection criteria of the institution. It is awarded based on the total slots allocated to each course at the institution.
Swami Vivekananda Scholarship
This is a state government of West Bengal. Students can apply for scholarships at the Diploma, UG and PG level. For Diploma and UG students, they must score at least 75% marks in the qualifying examination for application. However, for PG applicants, students must score at least 53% marks in the Honours subject in UG.
