Kolkata: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are expected to announce the results of the first stage Computer Based Test (CBT-1) for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician positions soon.

Once the RRB announces the CBT-1 results, candidates will be able to check their scores and qualifying status. Those who clear the cut-off marks will be shortlisted for the second stage of the examination, the CBT-2.

Key Stages of the RRB ALP and Technician Selection Process

  • CBT-1: This is the first stage, a screening test to shortlist candidates for further stages. It assesses basic aptitude and general knowledge.

  • Aptitude Test (for ALP only): Candidates who clear CBT-2 and have opted for the ALP position will have to undergo a computer-based Aptitude Test (Psycho-Technical Test). This test evaluates their vision, depth perception, and other psychomotor skills crucial for loco pilots.
  • Document Verification: Candidates who clear all the preceding stages will be called for document verification. They must produce original documents to verify their eligibility and claims made in the application.
  • Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the required medical standards for railway jobs.

What to Do After Qualifying CBT-1?

Candidates who qualify for CBT-2 should immediately start preparing for the next stage. Focus on the syllabus for Part A and Part B of CBT-2 and practice previous year's question papers to understand the exam pattern and difficulty level.
