M.Sc Chemical Engineering is a two - year Postgraduate program in Engineering mainly offered by some NITs and IITs. The course is divided into 4 semesters, and focuses on the studies of Advanced Thermodynamics, Process Modelling and Simulation, Advanced Reaction Engineering, etc. This course is for the aspirants who want to build a career in Research and Development field.
The basic requirement for this program is a Bachelor’s degree in which can be a B.E or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university. Students must have 50% marks and they have to appear for entrance exams like SAAT, AUCET or GATE.
Most colleges conduct a Personal interview round for the final admission. After completing the program, Graduates can get jobs in the sectors such as : various industries, Chemical manufacturing units, Research centers, etc. Candidates can get career opportunities in both Private and Government sectors.
