M.Sc Biotechnology is a two - year Postgraduate program divided into four semesters. The course focuses on the intersection of technology and biology in the field of solving complex issues in different industries like Environmental science, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture and Healthcare. The program integrates principles of Engineering, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Chemistry and Biology.
For the admission to this course, Students must have completed B.Sc in Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Zoology/ Botany/ Biotechnology or any other relevant subjects with 55% marks from a recognized university.
Applicants also have to appear for entrance exams such as IIT JAM, AP PGCET, ICAR AIEEA and CUET PG. However, Some institutes in India also accept admission based on the scores of class 12. The average course fee can be from INR 40,000 and INR 2 Lakh.
