M.Sc Applied Microbiology is a Two - year Postgraduate course that imparts in depth knowledge in microbiology and it combines Chemistry and Science for testing the living structure and its relationship to the environment. The course covers the research section of microorganisms and their effect on human being. The program is divided into four semesters.
For the admission to the master’s course, Aspirants must have completed B.Sc in Medical Lab, Biotechnology, Dietetics, Nutrition, Fisheries, Dairy Sciences, Home Science, Environmental Sciences, Human Genetics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry and Microbiology.
Subjects such as Human Rights, Bio - statistics, Bioinformatics, bio – molecules, Microbial Physiology, Medical Microbiology, Bio–Fertilizer Technology, Immune –Technology, Environmental Microbiology, Agriculture, Microbial Diversity and General Microbiology are taught in this program.
After completing this course, Graduates can get jobs as Lab Technician, Professor, Microbial manager, etc.
