NMKRV College for Women was started in 1973 by the Sri Meda Kasturiranga Setty and Smt. Nagarathnamma Meda Kasturiranga Setty. NMKRV College is part of RV Educational Institute and has autonomy status. It was recognized as a “College with Potential for Excellence” by the University Grants Commission in 2010 and also accredited by the NAAC in 2021.
This institute is affiliated with Bangalore University and provides quality education to females. NMKRV College for Women offers various courses at the UG and PG levels. At the UG level, This institute offers B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., BBA, BA, B.Ed. etc., and at the PG level, it offers M.A, M.Sc., M.Com., etc. Admission to these programs at NMKRV is based on academic performance. For admission to the UG courses, the institute considers scores of Class 12th or the merit list.
Similarly, for admission to PG courses, graduation scores are considered. They also have a dedicated placement cell, whichis responsible for all the placement - related activities on the campus.
