In 2025, there are three new entries of colleges, Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Kozhikode, and Somaiya Vidyavihar University in the 151 to 200 and 251+ band.
IIM Bangalore’s full-time MBA program has received the highest return on investment in the country, along with two other programs ranked in the world’s top 100 list.
However, the 14 ranked Indian MBA programs did not secure a spot in the world’s top 250 for faculty and student diversity, highlighting a gender gap. Although IIMs are encouraging female students and the elite club of IIM-A is making progress, but the gap remains significant at IIM Bangalore and Calcutta.
Additionally, QS notes that Indian business schools lack international students and faculty, which is hindering their efforts toward internationalization.
On the other hand, the United Kingdom and the United States maintain their ranks within the top three spots on the list. Stanford GSB’s MBA holds the number one rank, The Wharton School is in second place, and Harvard Business School follows in third.

IIM Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad are among the top 10 MBA colleges in Asia. However, IIM Calcutta has dropped out of the top 10 list in 2024. While the Indian School of Business remains in the top 15 list.
The QS Global MBA and Business Master’s Rankings 2025 includes 58 territories and countries. It evaluates 340 global MBA and Business Master’s programs, covering courses in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Marketing, Finance, and Master’s in Management.
